Krasny Kotelshchik implements measures to increase the safety of its employees
For the safety of employees working above the plant floor, the Krasny Kotelshchik, which is part of Power Machines, has implemented a modern safety system - Russia's first mobile anchoring installation.
- How does this system work? Its principle of operation is similar to an automobile seat belt's. The worker puts on the safety harness and fastens the rope of the locking device to himself and then begins to work, freely moving along the length and height of the workpiece. "If the worker accidentally slips and slides downward, the device instantaneously locks and prevents a fall", comments TBP's Denis Grabovskiy, head of the Division of Occupational, Industrial, and Ecological Safety.
To date, training personnel in the use of the new safety equipment and testing it have been successfully completed. The mobile anchoring installation has been put into commercial operation.
More than 2,500 people work at the Krasny Kotelshchik. All necessary steps are taken to provide employees with a safe work place. The plant regularly introduces the newest practices and adopts targeted programmes, the financing for which continues to grow from year to year.
