PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” Increases its Energy Efficiency

The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik" (TKZ) has implemented the next stage of infrared heating dispatching. Today, this system covers seven TKZ divisions, including a Shell-Type Equipment Shop, a Machine Assembly Shop, and an equipment repair area. They joined the project in the second half of 2019.

Infrared gas heater are widely distributed at the Taganrog enterprise – about 2,000 devices operate at the TKZ production sites, which provide necessary temperature conditions. This method of heating is recognized here as one of the most effective – it has been used by PJSC “Kransy Kotelshchik” for 10 years.

Before introducing the dispatching system, the infrared heaters were controlled manually. The specialists of the enterprise took one shift for this. Today, this process is automated. The temperature is adjusted remotely by one operator from one workplace. It takes not more than a minute.

The dispatch system has an extended range of capabilities. The operator can monitor operation of the heaters, maintain the set temperatures in automatic mode, turn on the heating locally – only in the areas involved in production processes. This, in turn, reduces the consumption of gas intended for heater, and leads to significant savings of the enterprise.
