PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” builds up production capacity
The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik" (TKZ) purchased a portable system for metal plasma cutting. The new equipment will be used for manufacture of products for nuclear power plants, which occupies a significant share in TKZ scope of orders.
The system specializes in complex technological operations: cutting and gouging of metal of increased strength. It is capable of cutting holes and preparing edges in vessel bodies made of high alloy, low alloy and carbon steel up to 57 mm thick.
Plasma cutting will replace flux-oxygen cutting, which was previously used at the enterprise. It was carried out by means of the machine developed in the 1980s. Due to its specific features, only specially trained production personnel could operate this unit.
The new system, unlike the obsolete unit, is easy to use, characterized by high productivity and efficiency of operations.
