PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” and Don State Technical University (DSTU) will Train Specialists in the Field of Powermachinebuilding
The decision to open the power engineering department was taken in July 2016 at a meeting of the University Academic Council. The end of September was agreed to be the period of its foundation, when the head of the department - Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of Process Diagrams and Automatics Department of Engineering Directorate of TKZ Sergey Laptev - was appointed.
“The corporate department will provide high quality training of power plant engineers through the use of human, logistic, educational and information resources of TKZ and DSTU,” - CEO of PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” Alexander Popov says.
The plant specialists with dozens of years in manufacturing field behind them: Chief Designer of PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” Vladimir Ivanenko, Chief Technologist Sergey Rodin, Head of Personnel Development Department Sergey Podunov have become the members of the corporate department along with professors and university employees who have vast experience in the theoretical training of students.
Don State Technical University was selected by TKZ not by chance: similar departments of a number of large enterprises of the Rostov region have been working successfully at the university for many years. Besides, DSTU is a multidisciplinary educational institution, where young specialists such as welding engineers, process engineers and others can be prepared for the main areas of activity of TKZ. It is possible that training of design engineers the lack of which is felt at PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” will be started on the basis of DSTU branch in Taganrog - Polytechnic Institute.
“Thanks to the creation of the corporate department there appeared great opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration,” - rector of DSTU Besarion Meskhi emphasizes. “So, series of acquainting meetings of DSTU and TKZ employees have been already planned for the near future. The members of the corporate department “Powermachinebuilding” will meet with the deans, the heads of academic departments and the university teaching staff. We will specify together the departments, students of which will be in training at TKZ, and also topics for scientific works.”
