“Krasny Kotelshchik” Improves Quality of Lighting at Its Workshops
The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) has implemented the centralized workshop lighting control system. The Project was executed at six production facilities of the Company, including Tube Panel Workshop, Shell-Type Equipment Workshop, Heat Exchange Equipment Workshop and Steel Structure Workshop.
This Project is aimed at improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of costs of “Krasny Kotelshchik”. According to the forecasts of the TKZ specialists, total saving of the Company as a result of the Project’s implementation will be about 30 Million Rubles.
It took more than half a year to perform large-scale works. They provided both for installation of the system itself, including installation of control cabinets, and replacement of the ceiling lighting.
In the course of the Project works, over 2 000 LED lighting devices with power of 200 W appeared at the TKZ production facilities. They surpass their predecessors with mercury lamps as to lighting quality, thus consuming far less electrical energy.
An approach to the work of the lighting itself has been changed as well. Presently, the workshops of the Company are divided into 12 lighting zones. They can be controlled in two modes: manual and automatic – from a remote workstation.
The operator’s opportunities are not limited by remote on/off switching of the lighting devices. The operator can program their operation in compliance with the time schedule of a certain workshop, as well as perform on-line monitoring of the lighting system condition.
